the elegant style of the surrounding palace complex. You only need a few

toward Besiktas.

If you enjoy art, you can visit the Painting Museum before leaving the
Dolmabahce Palace complex.
The museum displays Ottoman and European paintings from the National
Palaces collection. It works especially well for visitors interested in
nineteenth-century Istanbul, Ottoman court life and palace art.
The combined Dolmabahce Palace admission covers the Selamlik, Harem and
Painting Museum together.

useful because the two sites show different stages of late Ottoman palace

Besiktas or Yildiz toward Ortakoy.
